BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — A six-ton "potato" is now available for overnight stays south of Boise.
The Idaho Potato Commission's iconic 6-ton giant potato, which had been on several national tours, was retired in 2017 and recently carved into a rental near the Boise Stage Stop exit on Orchard Access Road off Interstate-84.
The potato features air conditioning, an indoor fireplace, hot water, free parking, bed and bath. It's currently running about $200 a night on Airbnb's website. Read More...
The Arizona Bowl will be the farewell match for Wyoming coach Craig Bohl, who will retire after this season following 10 years with the Cowboys. He previously spent a decade with North Dakota State.
Bohl's 8-4 Wyoming squad will take on the 11-2 Toledo Rockets, who won't have their starting quarterback or running back. Dequan Finn transferred from Toledo to Baylor, while running back Peny Boone entered the transfer portal. WASHINGTON — Aalyria Technologies, a startup that emerged from stealth mode Sept. 13, plans to provide high-speed internet using software and networking technology from Google’s ill-fated project to beam internet service from high-altitude balloons.
Founded by former U.S. Marine and defense industry executive Chris Taylor, Aalyria is repurposing Google’s networking software but is not using balloons. Its goal is to provide high-speed communications that extend from land to sea, air and space. Read More...
